Statement of Faith
God, eternal, existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; creator and sustainer of the universe revealing Himself in perfect love and holiness; with man's redemption in view.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, incarnate Son of God; his virgin birth; his full deity and humanity; his perfect life on earth, tempted as we are, yet without sin; his atoning death on the Cross as our substitute and representative; his bodily resurrection, ascension, mediatorial ministry, personal visible return in glory.
The Holy Spirit, guiding us into all truth, and the moving force behind the writing of the scriptures; illuminating, regenerating, indwelling; sealing our redemption upon the day of His coming; sanctifying and empowering for holy living, witness and ministry.
Man created in the image of God; his fall, total depravity and need for redemption from sin, its guilt, penalty and power through the shed blood of Christ; man's salvation by the grace of God, through repentance in response to the illuminating of the Holy Spirit, by faith in Jesus Christ alone; man's sanctification as he continues to walk by faith, carrying out the will of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit, in accordance with the scriptures.
The resurrection of all men - the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal punishment, the consequent relevance of Christ's last commission to disciple all men.
The Bible - the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, the fully revealed and inspired divine Word of God, the entirely trustworthy, and the only infallible, sufficient and ultimate authority for faith and conduct.
The Church - the unity of believers in one Body of which Christ is the Head; the priesthood of all believers in that Body, and the consummation and glorification of that Church as the Bride of Christ.
